Getting the incentives for management right is important for any company. Executive pay is at the heart of the issue.

I thought the first strip a bit odd. Sure, stock options may be valuable, but isn't the point about Dognert that he intends to fleece the company anyway, so his options will in fact, be worthless ? Avoiding the issue of flossing up a company to artificially inflate the stock and leaping out at the peak (probably a criminal offence these days), stock options surely do have the advantage that at least the person so paid has to work to increase the value of their investment to the benefit of all investors.
