The rise and fall of central banking

In this audio from Howard Davies, director of the London School of Economics, talks to Romesh Vaitilingam about his new book, co-authored with David Green, ‘Banking on the Future: The Fall and Rise of Central Banking’. Among other things, they discuss the cost-effectiveness of central banks, the characteristics of an ideal central bank governor, and potential reform of the voting structure at the European Central Bank.
