I wonder if a line could be drawn to prove that China started getting a bigger share of GDP once it grafted on aspects of state capitalism (Orwell's term for socialism, which I rather like), which would be about the same time that the US went over to state capitalism also, but as it was coming from a more laissez faire position, as opposed to China's communism, that was when US started losing share.
Interesting to wonder what it might look like in 2028. I suspect India may well be the one growing the bigger share.
