On the 6th of June a group of University of Chicago faculty wrote a petition to the University's President, Robert Zimmer, and Provost, Thomas Rosenbaum, opposing the foundation of a Milton Friedman Institute to support economic research. John Cochrane, Myron S. Scholes Professor of Finance, has responded with some Comments on the Milton Friedman Institute Protest.
Both barrels, point blank range. Brad DeLong says "As far as polemic goes, I don't think I will ever see a better one".
